Name: James Andrew Ioannou
Year of Birth: 1992
From: London, UK (moved to the Isle Of Wight When I was about 7, I’m half Greek as well, that’s where the crazy hairs comes from)
Motto: You haven’t had a good days riding until you have made your self bleed or lost a shoe!
How long have you been riding? 4 years
Worst Failure: Snapped left Fibular and 5 tendons, as well dissociating the mashed up ankle all at once in the practise of the first round of King of Dirt 09! Now have a nice, shinny plat of titanium with 6 screws holding it together! She’s good as new!!
Local trails: Mill Bike Park and Lymington trails.
Riding Style: Dirt jumping and would never say no to a bit of full suss riding!
Favourite track: Lymington, 4a and Chicksands
Your ride: Idendtiti p66, with too much money spent on it!
Trick you enjoy most: Has to be 360’s
Your best trick: Flat spin
What inspires you? Watching my buddy’s shut down crazy tricks before I drop in, as well watching bike films before riding! Always a good one!
What scares you? Hard Ground!
Do you prefer Jams or Comps? Comps are cool, where there is pressure on you and I find that pushes me to ride harder. But for me, it’s always Jams! There insane, I love it when the bar gets stepped up and every one is shedding it and shredding!
Other Hobbies/interests: Motocross, Snowboarding, body boarding, bit of skate boarding, parties!!! And the odd bit of x-box on the rainy days! Also love to travel!
Have you got anything that you are working on for the future? Trying to learn how to ride park, dame those quarters hard to shut down!! As well as expanded my bag of tricks.
Would you like to thank anyone? Big thanks to Wight Trash and Rapanui for sorting me out with some amazing gear, as well as Wight Mountain (on the Isle Of Wight) for sorting me out bike parts at trade price! And every one that has helped and supported me. Not forgetting my first sponsor and number one fan; my Mum!
